The rich history of Sawyer Cook Insurance began in Redlands, California in 1924 under the name of Dexter, Sawyer Real Estate & Insurance. Due to the strong personal commitment of Col. Sawyer and Mr. Dexter to their clients, the firm actually grew during the difficult Depression years of the early 1930's. Contributing to their success was the ability to create insurance plans and investment opportunities that truly fit the needs and concerns of their customers' varied lifestyles, enabling Sawyer Cook Insurance to achieve further growth throughout the Second World War. This continues to be the foundation for the success the company enjoys today.

Merging in 1960 with Richard Cook, the company under the new nameplate of Sawyer Cook Insurance, quickly expanded into new products and services, becoming a premier leader in insurance and financial services while representing major carriers from around the world.

In April of 2002, Sawyer Cook Insurance took a bold step to enhance its’ position in the Inland Empire by becoming part of the Arrowhead Credit Union Family of Companies. The synergy and benefit to all clients are now expanded to include the benefits of the Arrowhead Credit Union and their subsidiaries. The Credit Union members now have access to complete insurance services of commercial, personal, life & health, marine and bonds.

Today, the company continues its leadership role by handling local, regional and national commercial accounts, and offering a variety of financial and insurance services.
